As a mission-driven, for-profit company, Jvillage Network is fortunate to have a Board of Directors that includes Jewish educators and innovators who believe that digital technology is the pathway to ensuring the vibrancy and continuity of synagogues and other community-based Jewish organizations.
  • Yoram Samets

    Yoram co-founded Jvillage Network based on his belief in the importance of strengthening Jewish communities. He has put his passion into practice by serving as president of Ohavi Zedek Synagogue in Burlington, VT, and as co-founder of Jewish Communities of Vermont  (JCVT). Additionally, Yoram serves on both the AIPAC National Council and ADL Northeast Executive Committee. Outside of his passionate commitment to Jewish/Israel interests, Yoram is the managing director of Kelliher Samets Volk, a brand/marketing communications firm with offices in New York City, Boston, and Burlington (VT). He brings to Jvillage Network more than 30 years of experience helping organizations reach and engage their clients and members.

    Born in Israel, Yoram came to the U.S. as a child and was raised in New York. He found his way to Burlington and its vibrant Jewish community in the 70s. Yoram is married to Linda Kelliher and serves as Jvillage's Board Chair.

  • Linda Kelliher

    Linda's enthusiasm and creative direction have been the driving force at Kelliher Samets Volk, a branding firm that specializes in digital marketing solutions, since she founded the company with her husband (Yoram Samets) in 1977. Her conceptual skills and her ability to nurture the best in people have enabled Kelliher Samets Volk to produce big results for its clients. Linda has helped develop breakthrough marketing programs for such clients as the Vermont Department of Health, Rossignol, Banknorth Group, State Street Financial, Rural Cellular Corporation (Unicel), Montreal Trust, Chittenden Trust, Time Warner, Hearst, Stowe Mountain Resort, King Arthur Flour, and Vermont Castings.

    She graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and worked as an art director at WGBH public television in Boston.

  • David Behrman

    David is CEO and President of Behrman House Publishers, the leading publisher of textbooks, software, and other educational materials for Jewish religious schools throughout North America. Behrman House has pioneered the use of digital Hebrew instruction and the use of digital tools in the religious school environment.

    Prior to joining Behrman House in 1991, David was a management consultant in the New York office of McKinsey & Co., and before that he practiced law with the Wall St. law firm Davis Polk & Warwell. David graduated from Haverford College with a B.A. in economics, holds a J.D. from Stanford University Law School, where he served on the Law Review, and has been admitted to the Bar in New York and in California.

  • Mitchell Knisbacher

    Mitch is the CEO and founder of 800response, the Nation's leading provider of Shared-Use 800-number services, which he's been running for over 20 years. In 1983, he founded Long Distance North, a regional long-distance company that operated in northern New England until its sale in 1991. Mitch has served as a consultant to telecommunications companies in the U.S. and abroad, and has made numerous appearances as an expert witness in state regulatory proceedings. Mitch holds a law degree from Harvard and a Ph.D. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Prior to entering the telecommunications business, Mitch taught law for four years and practiced for five years with the federal government.

    Mitch is one of the founders of the Israel Center of Vermont, has been active in AIPAC, and is a member of synagogues in both the U.S and Israel. For the last 25 years, he has divided his time between homes in South Burlington, VT, and Modi'in, Israel.

  • Evan Hackel

    Evan is Founder and Principal of Ingage Consulting, a consulting firm focused on improving the performance of Franchises and Cooperatives by improving the relationship of franchisees and members with management. Before founding Ingage, Evan worked at CCA Global Partners for 20 years, where he founded its marketing, national programs department, and its award-winning training department. During Evan's career he has helped launch and found three franchise businesses and has been successful at transforming small or troubled franchises into successful companies.

    Evan is a current and former board member of several organizations, cooperatives, and groups. He has a strong passion and belief that the Jewish experience can be enhanced through vibrant online communities.
